I'm going to be honest. The Kratom 101 blog post a couple of years ago was made by my friend with ai to help improve SEO visibility. There's some good information there and it's worth the read but it's about time to post a human made blog. Today is a public holiday and work is a little slow at the moment so I decided to give the blog a try. Here we go...
Honey lime flavored kratom tea October 2021
OG Kratom started during covid time right when kratom became legal in the fall of 2021. I was previously selling hamburgers at Thai craft beer breweries under the name OG Burgers. When covid hit, the food business became impossible to sustain and I also had my first experience with kratom. My first experience with kratom was chewing the fresh leaf. It was messy and tasted really bitter but there was a euphoric, clear, focused feeling. I found out that people in Thailand chewed but also made tea with kratom, leaves so I Started to make kratom tea drinks.
The kratom tea drinks were made with fresh limes and honey. A friend of mine who made beers and mead really liked my drinks to the point he bought them from me. He had an idea of carbonating the honey lime kratom tea and bottling them in glass bottles with a label resembling a beer. I went over his place and made a few cases of kratom soda in glass bottles with a green label "OG Kratom". That's when OG Kratom soda was born.

I sold the cases to a handful of friend's craft beer bars. Back then the Thai craft beer community was small and very supportive of each other so the bar owners would buy one case but wouldn't order again. OG Kratom was at a home-brew hobby level at that point but the legalization of cannabis in Thailand would turn OG Kratom into a real business. The sodas started to get sold at cannabis dispensaries which were popping up everywhere.

In June 2022, cannabis became legal in Thailand and I immediately got involved with one of the first cannabis dispensaries in the country. I was able to market and sell OG Kratom products through cannabis dispensaries and I also started to explore kratom powder. Thai people don't use kratom powder. Kratom powder was a new thing in Thailand for the purpose of exporting or capsules for medical use. The demand from westerners for kratom powder and capsules in Thailand was high so I started to add them to the OG Kratom product line.

Kratom powder is very different from the fresh kratom leaf. It's a concentrated version of kratom. To make one gram of powder, four grams of fresh leaves are used. To make powder, the kratom leaves are heated up and broken down so some alkaloids are lost in the process. That being said, kratom powder is strong and intense. It's great for medical use. I prefer drinking teas and sodas made the fresh kratom leaves though. Kratom powder isn't for me but I see why people in countries where kratom doesn't grow use it.
OG Kratom Powder
I believe OG Kratom Powder is superior to other kratom powder on the market. It's made legally in a serious powdering factory. The aroma and flavor is pleasant unlike other kratom powder. Sort of like a green tea. OG Kratom focuses on freshness and flavor. Not strength. Same with the OG Kratom sodas. I believe they're the best tasting kratom drinks on the market. Using local and natural ingredients, the drinks are delicious and refreshing.
OG Kratom treats kratom like coffee or tea. It's not about how strong it is, it's about how it tastes and feels. I'm a big coffee drinker. I love coffee. When I buy a cup of coffee, I don't care how much caffeine is in the coffee. I care more about the aroma and flavor. However caffeine is important and it's a big part of why I love coffee.
